Okay, so I'm pretty bad at this right now. So much is happening that sometimes it's hard to get a chance to update.
Well, the last two months have pretty much been amazing and hard all at the same time. I am really enjoying my time here and all the lessons I am learning. It's been a transition, but God has been faithful in walking with me every step of the way.
We just got back from a missions trip with our high school students. We spent the first part of our trip in Hutchinson, Kansas fixing up some houses, digging dirt, building a garage, building a porch (I used power tools!) and painting. We spent the second part of our trip in Colorado mountaineering, rock climbing and white water rafting. I can't begin to tell you how amazing the trip was.
First of all, I'm going to admit to you that going into the trip, I was terrified! I was so nervous! I've never worked with high school students. I've always only done middle school. I'm cool to middle schoolers. They like me, they laugh at me, they want to hang out with me. I was convinced the foreign alien high schoolers were going to hate me and I'd have nothing to relate with them. I was pretty wrong. Like 100% wrong. By the end of the trip, I couldn't stop hugging the girls on the trip and giving high fives to the guys. They were amazing!
